RESEARCH METHOD
A controlled path from a listed security to an auditable dossier.
Invest Dossier records identity, intent, approvals and artifact hashes. It does not replace investor judgment or operate ChatGPT on the Owner’s behalf.
1. Confirm the exact listing
Every request starts with a market, MIC, exchange and text-preserved symbol. Share classes remain separate; similarly named companies are never silently merged.
2. Freeze the research instruction
The command and generated research Prompt receive SHA-256 hashes and revision numbers. The Owner must approve the exact current revision before the paired Mac can advance.
3. Keep ChatGPT actions human-operated
A person chooses the model, submits both prompts, selects Deep Research, reviews any plan, checks completion and downloads the PDF on the Mac. The Companion only presents instructions and records explicit checkpoints.
4. Validate and approve the artifact
Uploads are isolated and checked with PDF structure, encryption, page and text tools. The Owner reviews the private copy; only the approved file hash enters the normal report library.
Evidence discipline
Reports should distinguish source facts, management claims, estimates and inference; identify uncertainties; and state the information cutoff. A dossier is a research record, not a promise of investment performance.
